Traveling Puppet Theater “Maska”, based in Liepāja, is one of the oldest professional non-governmental puppet theaters in Latvia (founded in 1994). “Mask” consists of a small troupe, which in its special artistic handwriting (realistic naivety) creates puppet shows for children.
Performances with success have been shown at international festivals and guest performances in Pakistan (Lahore), Denmark, Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden, France, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg). For several years, at the invitation of the Moscow State Philharmonic, guest performances have been performed from Moscow to Baikal (Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Tara, Omsk, the Latvian village of Bobrovka, Toulouse, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk and other cities).
