The Theater of Playwrights, established in 2007, performs only plays by contemporary Latvian authors, provided that the author must participate in the process of staging his play, choosing whether he will be an assistant director or actor or one of the theater staff, thus trying to maintain a living connection between the playwright and the theater. The theater employs professional and non-professional actors.
