P.A.R.T.S. audition in Riga



P.A.R.T.S. has announced auditions for the new training period starting in September 2016.

P.A.R.T.S. is one of the best known schools for contemporary dance located in Brussels, Belgium. It provides a thorough technical training to dancers and choreographers and helps them develop into independent and creative artists. The curriculum of P.A.R.T.S. is three years long. It’s a full-time programme, requiring full commitment from its students. The Training Cycle is destined for young dancers and choreographers between 18 and 23 years old who want to start a professional education to be a dancer or choreographer. The school takes new students only every three years. The new Training Cycle starts in  September 2016 and and lasts until June 2019.

The auditions process is open to all young, talented dancers between ages of 18 and 23  (both ages on December 31, 2016) with a completed secondary school diploma (by September 1, 2016) and  a good knowledge of English when starting the course.
The audition has two phases: first, one day pre-selections will be held worldwide in 25 cities different cities, followed by  a six day final audition in Brussels on April 4-9, 2016.

Pre-selection day in Riga will take place on January 16, 2016 in the dance school Dzirnas, Lāčplēša street 106, k-1.
The school is located within 15-20 min walk from from the Central Railway station and Central Coach station in Riga, also accessible by several public buses and trolleybuses.

The pre-selection consists of a contemporary dance class, a ballet class and a short, max 1 minute long personal work. The results will be announced on the same day.
