NTIL, as part of Magic Carpets, invites applications for an artist residency in Riga. This residency is organised in collaboration with the Choreographers’ Association, Latvijas Neredzīgo Biedrība (The Latvian Society for the Blind), and a local dance artist, fostering an inclusive and collaborative artistic environment. The "Magic Carpets" Lab series, dedicated to working with communities, will bring together ten performing artists. In three workshops in different regions of Latvia, participants will gain theoretical and practical knowledge from experienced mentors and artists to develop their projects.

From 17 July to 21 August, theatre artist Vita Malahova in cooperation with the association "I Want to Help Refugees", artist Eva Veveri and non-formal education trainer and supervisor Lauma Žubule organised various activities and workshops at the multifunctional centre "Mucenieki", asylum seekers' accommodation centre "Mucenieki" and the accommodation centre for detained foreigners "Daugavpils".
