Bush Hartshorn’s workshop “ Giving and Receiving Feedback”

Bush Hartshorn, one of the important figures of the UK performing arts scene, invites Latvian based theater arts professionals / artists / cultural workers to apply for his workshop – “Giving and Receiving feedback”.

In the workshop, artists will be able to get feedback on one of their ideas and/or works in development and learn new ways to comment on the work of others. Participants will be introduced to the basic principles of Non-Violent Communication (NVC), as well as Neuro Linguistic Programming ( NLP) principles, which can be useful both in professional activities and in personal situations. Bush emphasizes that the workshop fosters a sense of responsibility. Participants are encouraged to continue to use the knowledge gained in the workshop in their further practice.

The workshop is designed for directors, actors, dramaturgs, curators, dancers and any other artists or cultural workers that are willing to learn how to give a feedback to other artists or want to supplement their knowledge about it.

To participate in the workshop, participants must bring a piece of work for which they wish to receive feedback. These include dance material, curatorial concepts, written works or even ideas in which artists are willing to “intervene”. It is also possible to present already “finished” works. Workshop will take place in Riga, 4th-7th May 2022 – 10am to 4.30pm. Workshop will be held in English and are free to participate. Should you have any access requirements please get in touch with our team.
