IETM Focus Meeting in Brussels

From April 7th till 8th Bek Berger, artistic director of the New Theatre Institute of Latvia, attended the first ever IETM (International network for contemporary performing arts) Focus Meeting in Brussels where she was invited to deliver a daily session to audit the delegation and introduce new colleagues. She was joined by Latvian representatives from festival Sansusi (Armands Siliņš and Uldis Trapencieris) and Choreographers Association (Ina Ločmele).

 

IETM Focus Meeting was a space to explore, critique and improve the work practices and conditions of contemporary performing arts organizations and individuals. Over two intensive days the 180 delegates collectively designed new prototypes of fairness and reflected what actions could organizations take to influence broader systemic change.
