The video work of Gob Squad "Where Do You Want To Go To Die?" will be shown in the club.
It documents a nighttime journey around Berlin from the point of view of the front windscreen of a van. Starting in darkness we gradually hear the chattering voices of seven people on a journey, beneath them hums the sound of the van and its radio.

The conversation meanders from one topic to another, referring to buildings, pop-trivia, directions, travel snacks and personal anecdotes. Next appears the image of a speeding road, the room has now become a virtual vehicle and the viewers are silent passengers in a private and ominous journey.

Out of the banal conversation a voice asks the driver to stop. The van pulls up, the door slides open and a passenger appears in the glare of the headlights, where with reckless abandon, they perform a parting gesture. Eventually the van pulls back, abandoning the passenger in a fading image.

Where Do You Want To Go To Die? is a video installation that lasts 1 hour. Locations ranging from the iconic Brandenburg Gate to an industrial wasteland, from the shiny terraces of "New Berlin" to a multinational petrol station become dynamic backdrops to 8 bizarre images celebrating surrender, personal wakes and parting gestures.
