Continuing the tradition, New Theatre Institute of Latvia is bringing another new circus performance to this year’s Forum of Contemporary Culture ‘White Night’ – world premiere of ‘Mouvinsitu’, a project by French artists Boris Gibé and Florent Hamon. The performance will be supplemented by an exhibition of witty and poetic video works. The performance combines elements of contemporary dance, circus and cinema, creating unreal and dreamlike moments with the help of movements. It lets you embrace emptiness quite physically, makes you lose the sense of reality and lets you write a screenplay on stage.

Boris Gibé and Florent Hamon are both artists from Paris. Boris has been around the circus life and life without a home since he was a young kid. He created the company Zampanos in 1996, which made him travel a lot and work in almost all the leading new circus companies in France.
Florent is a movie director with the education of an acrobat and the experience of contemporary dance. Along with other projects, Florent is currently working with one of the most famous circus companies in France and Europe – Theatre Dromesko.

This project is supported by Riga City council and Forum of Contemporary Culture “White Night”.
