Latvian dramaturg Jānis Balodis will take part in the summer lab Toxic Tour taking place on August 29-31 in Ljubljana as part of the activities by the network Imagine 2020: Art, Ecology and Possible Futures. Together with an international group of artists, researchers and activists, Jānis will engage in 3 days of presentations, discussions and field trips, starting from the Botanical Gardens, venturing across the Ljubljana Marshes and to the Planina Cave. The aim of  Toxic Tour is to educate attendees while also encouraging them for collaborative imagining of solutions and active intervening into a situation of pollution.

Theatre director Viesturs Meikšāns will join the residence project Watch and Talk in Theaterfestival Basel from August 30 till September 11. The residence artists will watch festival productions, meet with creators and discuss their experiences. Watch and Talk aims to give participants the opportunity  to discover other artistic work and and engage in critical discussions while also looking at their own artistic practice and their own cultural background through the practices and the corresponding views developed by other participants.
