Festival Homo Novus in November

The autumn series of the International festival of contemporary theatre Homo Novus is rounding up with two events.

Last act of “Focus Austria” will present Philipp Gehmacher, an intriguing figure in Western European dance, both an outsider and one of its most influential practitioners, with two highly intellectual and poetic works: “walk + talk” (22 October at Ģertrūdes ielas teātris) and “my shapes, your words, their grey” (21 October at D-Fab).

Homo Novus will continue with an intensive week of performances, installations, talks and workshops from Monday 7 November till Saturday 12 November, inviting audience to watch, immerse and participate.

We will open on Monday 7 November with two installations – “Guilty Landscapes” by Dries Verhoeven and “Of All The People in All The World” by Stan’s Cafe that will run through the whole festival. During the week performance programme will be presented every night, but on Saturday we invite you to join international collectives of artists and activists “Cape Farewell” and “Agents of Alternatives” for the afternoon of talks, lectures and workshops under the topic of “Imagine 2020”.

Tickets are on sale at Biļešu paradīze and New Theatre Institute of Latvia.
