Austrian Focus at Homo Novus festival in October!

In October International festival of contemporary theatre Homo Novus will introduce the work by remarkable artists working in Austria. Solo climate conference “Cry Me a River” (1 and 2 October at Ģertrūdes ielas teātris) is Anna Mendelssohn’s deeply personal comment on the discourse related to climate change; “Sons of Sissy” (4 and 5 October at Ģertrūdes ielas teātris) by Simon Mayer, a hybrid of contemporary choreography, folk dance and music, is a witty, sharp and yet, respectful look at the tradition. Philipp Gehmacher, both an outsider and one of the most influential personalities in the Western contemporary dance, will present two highly intellectual and poetic works: “walk + talk” (22 October at Ģertrūdes ielas teātris) and “my shapes, your words, their grey” (21 October at D-Fab).

Tickets at Biļešu paradīze, Ģertrūdes ielas teātris and New Theatre Institute of Latvia.
